The Season of Gratitude

“When I started counting my blessings, my whole life turned around” – Willie Nelson
The holiday season kicks into full gear this week with the quintessential American celebration: Thanksgiving.
Good news: despite the amazingly indulgent spread of food, Thanksgiving can actually be healthy for you! Chime this into your Thanksgiving table conversation – Study after study has shown that gratitude improves resilience, mental health, sleeping habits, and physical strength. It enhances empathy and reduces aggression. Gratitude unleashes countless mental, spiritual and physical gifts that compound your positive impact on others. So feast among family and friends, but just remember to be thankful for everyone around your table.
For me and my team at TPI, we have much to be thankful for. Clients who’ve invited us in to deep partnerships to explore how they can improve performance. Workshops to share our experiences and help others learn from our successes and failures. Colleagues who invest in each other and work hard to sharpen their skills. Charitable causes that give us tangible ways to apply our gratitude and pay it forward.
